now why did they think an old shape Corsa with crap wheels and a Vectra GSI style bumper would help sell a game..

But did you go inside acclaim offices and looked for things and bought them? Or did they put it ALL out for auction? Was the auction in the offices and all the people bidding like crazy?
I really want to know about the acclaim big sale.

I've got an alpha from the unreleased/unannounced Forsaken 2 for the PS2, I liked the first one very much.

If someone has got more on this one I'd be interested I will do a video of this one in the near future.

I've always had some kind of mixed feelings for the original Forsaken. I do like the game, and have started it several times, but I always end up playing any other thing (usually Perfect Dark, as I have the N64 version).

I have never heard they were making a sequel for PS2. Hope to see that video soon.

Well, surprises like this make this forum so interesting .

I undestand the game was in an early stage of development, but do you know if it let the player use a 3rd person perspective over the ship? I've always thought that it would've been great to see the ship in the original game, not only the aiming point.

When I bought up some of Acclaim, I got their game archive.
I already boxed up most of it, but I remembered to take pictures of some of it.

They had a really extensive game collection, from neo geo cd to import saturn. In all I must have gotten over 500 games, many sealed including a
panorama cotton and a yu yu hakuso, and every virtual boy game released.

I took pictures of most of the stuff that was Acclaim branded, like flying edge, etc. These games are 99% sealed and new.

I had thought Layer Section was called Galactic Attack in PAL land, Rayforce in the US? Or just Rayforce in the US arcades? 3 titles for one game...very silly!

They were big fans of espionage. They had CD64s, other copiers.
They played popular games and then tried to copy them.

For some reason they bought 3-5 copies of each game.
The gamestop across the street sure made some good money from

I finally made the drive to pick up all my packages from the remailer I use.

The cps2 board was doa, it was only $7 but oh well, the A board is worth more than that I guess.

The psyclone selector was $0.01 off ebay, you have to love late night one cent starting prices.

I'm pretty happy about getting the n64 launch tape, and the rumble pak promo tape. I've
never seen the rumble pak tape before, nor a video of the launch tape.

When I visited Iguana Studios in Austin (later renamed Acclaim Southwest or something) in November 1995, I was surprised to see so many of its competitors products, along with import consoles. I asked Jay Moon, one of the producers there, about it, and he said that they loved games, and of course wanted to see what its competitors were doing.

Edit: I incorrectly stated 2005 instead of the correct year, 1995

I got one off eBay a few weeks ago for £5 delivered. I was surprised no one else bid on it, although it didn't come with anything, not even the original mains adaptor so that's probably why.
To get round this, I soldered out two very thin wires from the PCB side of 'DC In' jack to the outside of the casing, and use a 12v adaptor from my old scanner. I was gonna swap the AC power board from my PAL PS1 but the edge connector is different. I like the interface on these debug units, very colourful!
