I saw this game described on a usenet newsgroup a couple of years ago. was wondering if Assembler or anyone else has ever heard of it.

I remember five years ago, when the speculations of the Super Famicom first time out in Japan, along with the Sega Megadrive.
One of NEC licensee had the game called the PC Engine Story.
The character of the game is a PC Engine ver 1 (the white one)
and it's a platform game. The enemy are disks, games cartridges from other system (nintendo, sega, gameboy, atari) with the enemy bosses Other game system. The cute things is that PC Engine can use the control pad as a whip like in BIONIC COMMAND (get things, climb, kill enemies). And the upgrades are incredible. From PC Engine to PC Engine 2, PC Engine Core, PC Engine disk system add on ver 1 and 2(shoots discs), PC Engine Shuttle, and even the infamous Supergrafx. Somehow this game had never launched. But I got the magazine reviews, even the demo tapes.
My point is, since there's so many game system around. What about making this kind of game.

How about Sega Megadrive story - there's so many different revisions and addons (and combinations of those :D) that one could make a beat em up out of it that rivals SF Zero 3 when it comes to characters :smt043
