There is too much stuff for him to find there.

I am sure he must be some developer/trader to get the stuff he does

The guys name is Barry Ling, he starts as a game collector, but has strong Japan link, Not one of the buy Yahoo japan sell ebay type though,

apart from the fact that a HK gamer have good access to those HK shops having both Japan and Mainland china links.

I think he got a regular HK video game merchants who scouts for him, I once chat with him and he said he go back and forth Tokyo every fortnight or so.

Barry ling's a good guy, although price wise it remains to be seen :)

well i watch Yahoo Japan auctions 24/7 365 days a year, never seen a pattern that resembles above mentioned seller.

he seem to be a pure HK based seller, but i bet ocassionally get items from japan.

Well, the Orta Xbox (and other LE Xbox's as well) show up on Yahoo JP... for a lot less I might add.

Barry Ling sells Mobile phones in HK , and frequently visits Japan and uses Yahoo auctions under a slightly different user ID than his Ebay one.

Using Yahoo Japan isnt a crime , but what I do cringe at is the starting off prices some people sell their items at on Ebay.

Youre right there, HK have the best of both worlds, the chinese stufs and japan both combined. Sure you get to wait a few days for things to drops from JP, but compared to Akihabara, nothing beats the fun prowling sham shui po :smt023 well IMHO anyways

I'm surprised this Barry Ling...aka Lingjr hasn't found his way to ASSEMbler's site...or this board ever...its pretty obvious that hes into the same stuff people here are...and probably has an impressive collection...

Oh Im not so sure about that, so many lurkers and cloners here at assemblers, mostly those having ebay auctions ongoing ;)

usually when ppl here at this board make noise about one particular auction at ebay, then someone with "unregistered" status defending the said auction or tried to make good whatever being discussed, there is a high chance that this person is the one who put the auction listing..

Im sure barry ling reads this post :smt024

HK sounds fun, minus the chicken flu and SARS.

I was gonna make a really rude comment, but refrained. Usually when you have a lot of games, there's other things you have/don't (virginity/life) but didn't want to offend. I've got a boatload of games too. :)

Hong Kong is way better, any place that bend the law a bit always have cooler stuffs. I remember I went with a friend to hK, he got a container load of video game stuffs, for a great deal too.

Hmm didnt care much about the germs that could probably affect, I believe the big boss up there have pre planned things and no need to worry :prayer:

i think im gonna ask this ling fellow if he got nintendo dev stuffs.
