I just got a pal snes from a buddy of mine,the question is can I use a US power adapter from a US Snes on a Pal Snes.I just want to make sure if I can or not.I really dont want to ruin this system.Can anyone confirm?

Also Im going to disable the lock out chip ,but there are some wires on the motherboard,is this normal.

Use a Japanese SF AC adapter.

Also I just want to make sure,is this the lockout chip on my pal snes.

If so than Im curious to why there wires soldered to it,I have no fami or us games to try at the moment to clarify.

Those wires shouldnt be there, looks like someone has attempted some mod but i have no idea which, im sure one of the tech mided people on here will know which 2 chips those are & what mod was preformed.
