This is the painting to the cover art for a game called knights of carnage which I'm pretty sure never saw a US release. It may have been released in europe under a different name and I'm not sure if the same artwork would have been used.

Pretty cool. It was released in Europe under the title "Legend". The graphics in the title screen were very Amiga-esque. For some reason I think it was developed by the same people who did Burning Road. The game moves a little slow, but the characters are nice and big and graphics aren't too bad.

By gosh, you are right! I forgot about the DC Soul Fighter. Looks very similar (although the DC you can go anywhere apparently)
