You don't know who he is talking about, so let me explain.

The person Mr. Casual plays Halo with is an idiot. He always challenges him to Halo, and he loses just about every time. When he loses, he makes up stupid excuses, and more than likely puts Mr. Casual in a head lock. The other day, they had a Halo match, and Mr. Casual won 15 to 5. The idiot said he lost because he just got off work and he was tired. Today, Mr. Casual beat him 34 to 8, and he used the same excuse, except he did not go to work today.

Mr. Casual, next time be sure to include important details.

Sorry if I confused anyone on the board, I will try to clear this up.

Mr. Casual said "NO excuse for that gayness", which confused Cahaz. Read my post under that one. The line "No excuse for that gayness" is in refrence to the Idiot I mentioned in that post. It is just another way of calling him stupid. It is not a refrence to the content on this forum, or to anyone on this forum. Just a coment about a dumb guy who loses at Halo, then makes a dumb excuse about it. Today, his excuse didn't work to well, so Mr. Casual said there is no excuse.

Oh no, we don't assosiate being gay with being stupid. It is hard to explain. When you say something sucks, you mean that it is bad, or not good. However, you do not assosiate the actual meaning of suck with bad because then sucking a drink through a straw would be bad.

Similar to when you say somthing is pants. Why are pants so bad?

well, the guy i beat was stupid, really.
he cant decipher 2x=2
he thinks basic algebra is complicated. and he cant spell worth a crap. the funny thing is that he thinks he can beat me in halo, but i always beat him and he ALWAYS makes an excuse for why he cant win. he also screen watches and does "cheap" stuff.
when i say cheap he puts plasma grenades on infinite and during a firefight and he knows he is about to lose he will throw one on you and you both will die at the same time. and i found the way to get up on the roof of the base and he doesnt like it because it gives me an advantage but it IS NOT cheap, so he decides that he will threaten to turn the game off if i dont get down.

when you read about this crybaby what word comes to mind for you, then?

I have to admit, a lot of my friends use "gay" when they mean somethings crap/bad/whatever, but it really pisses me off. If I said something like "haha my mate lost to me on Soul Calibur, what a fucking Jew!" I would (quite rightly) get a kicking.

It just gets my goat (so to speak) that we can make slurs against homosexuals or using slang terms for them, and its accepted. But if someone uses a religion/ethnic word, its going too far.

I wouldn't say this applies to usual behaviour universally. There are some ethnicities/religions/other groups in general to whom society widely tend to apply labels and stigma without any 'PC' backlash, labels that are disutrbing in their acceptance as accepted views on others.


What it really boils down to is what media condemns as slurs/non-PC/anti-(insert group label here) and thus conditions most of a society to see as such. Condemn Sharon and you're anti-Semist. Support Sharon's massacre in Sabra and Shatila, you're not a potential extremist or terrorist.

It's not these labels that personally bother me as such; it's the unfortunately often deep-rooted sentiment and thinking that often causes it, which can be much more harmful as an occasional expression of deep-seated and festering vitriolence as opposed to the occasional slur said in jest/lighhearted ignorance.
