I'm looking for info and possibly obtaining a copy of the unreleased GBA shoot-em-up, Xyanide Advance. The Xbox version of the game saw store shelves, but the GBA one seems to have been canned some time ago.

Trailer:

looks like it was scheduled for a European release and then was cancelled outright. The video seems to indicate that the game was a good way into development. I have found release date references that stretch from 2004 to the end of 2006.

I have found other references to an N-Gage version which was cancelled as well. Anyone hear anything about these games?

After some browsing it seems that the N-Gage version was released and can be bought here (http://www.mobilegamestop10.com/category.php?id=103_10&ds=MGT10_WEB_UKEN&ln=EN&ca=3&dv=67&ch=1&cc=44). There are actually two different games: Xyanide 3D and 2D, both developed by Overloaded (http://www.overloaded.com/xyanide/).

Obviously development of the GBA version was handed over to Engine Software (http://www.engine-software.nl/indexFS.html). They still have the game in their lineup (filed under Games > All Games) but with a TBA release date.

Maybe the game was canned by publisher Playlogic in favor of the release of Xyanide Resurrection (http://www.playlogicinternational.com/games/?id=xyanide2) for the PSP? This game does not seem to be released yet though, in spite of April 2007 set as release date.
