I love the full size mecha on fire. It looks like it was done on an old army base.

I have a tape with a Gun Hazard informational, showing some more footage from the same set used in that short commercial.
I'll see if I can get around to uploading it sometime in a not too distant future.
Would love to know if this TV-CM was available on some sort of promotional DVD or VHS :D

So did that game ever make it to the states? Was it released at all?

Nope, Front Mission (SFC/WS), Front Mission 1st (PSX/DS), Front Mission - Gun Hazard (SFC), Front Mission 2 (PSX), Front Mission 2 - reprint (post-2003) (PSX) and Front Mission: Alternative (PSX), Front Mission 5 and Front Mission Online, and probably some cellphone game(s) too, has not been released in the US. Though, Front Mission Online was announced for English PC release, I think.
However, there are fan translations for the two SFC/SNES titles.
Difference between the original release of Front Mission 2 and the post-2003-ish re-releases (Ultimania Collection, Front Mission History version, etc...) is that the game's been patched up to have less loading + has some new features, such as a battle animation skip feature (which makes the game almost totally loading free during missions).

Pardon the double post, but here's the rip of the "Square Special Video" VHS tape.
The tape first runs a footage from Super Mario RPG and then Bahamut Lagoon, followed by a long commercial/infomercial for Front Mission Gun Hazard.
Hope you'll enjoy this little oddity I found in a pile of VHS tapes~
