Lik-sang.com was a savior when it game to video game goodies.
I bought everything their, from my afterburner GBA to those cute little stuff animals.
Such a shame !! Screw sony honestly, a store sells their products and they sue them.
So what now? anyone got any other good online stores.
Any chance Lik-sang will make a come back?
http://www.play-asia.com/
is pretty good, but lacks in some ways.
E.g. they lack in stuff imported from europe and have a less unique selection.

I think play-asia is pretty good personally, but ncsx is also decent. I highly doubt lik-sang will come back, the only remote, remote possibility is the same guys to found a new company, but I doubt that...

it's time to form the Cult of Lik-Sang, where we dogmatically believe that the second comming (of Lik-Sang) will come, so we can shop again as we did before SONY crucified them with legal costs :P

I'm mad that no one can get SmartJoy stuff any more.
I really wanted that SmartJoy Xbox converter so I could play Halo using a Keyboard and Mouse.

I doubt Sony's legal battles is really what broke them. If they had that little money to begin with (but still had something to lose) they would've most definitely just quit selling PSP's to those in Europe. My take -- they knew they were going down, so just said fuck it.

Lik-Sang sucks. There I said it.
My favorite import shop in HK is Buygame2. They're a little slow (since the order system is not automated like play-asia) but their prices more then make up for it with most games being $5-$10 cheaper then ncsx/lik-sang/play-asia.
Play-asia is wicked for their sales.
Ncsx is great for getting european games in usa as well as getting something asap (since it takes less time to arive with out forking out tons for over night express).
--edit--
Lik-sang has been in legal troubles for years. Must we all forget the raid a few years back thanks to microsoft over selling xbox mod chips?

If you're looking for older stuff direct from Japan, you can't go wrong with www.japangamestock.com
I've used these guys several times in the past. THey ship fast (and use INSANE amounts of bubble wrap! :) and charge fair prices. Shipping is a killer to the States, but that's a given. FYI, they recently stopped accepting Paypal, so it's basically credit card only. But well worth it IMO.

I remeber lik-sang used to sell the gba's with the afterburner, omg did I love that. It may have used up battery, but I always did love the original gba style versus the SP.

Success-HK do most things that Lik-Sang used to do including PS3 exports, so perhaps SCEE will screw these guys eventually too? I've used them a few times in the past and everything worked out well!

I love their mailing address too.... Fuk Wah Street
@ Cactusjack1999 - is this what you're after? Granted it's not Smartjoy, but it'll do the trick right ;-)

Yeah something like that. But I liked Lik-Sang cause I knew people that bought from them in the past, and the SmartJoy stuff they had really worked well and they stood behind the products really well.
A friend of mine bought one of those converters from eBay once (off market HK converter. no real brand name) and the internal memory of the thing was fried. Computer didn't recognize it as a USB device at all. Nothing about it worked at all.
Play-Asia sales are the best ever. And I like how they give you popping candy in some orders.
But I still miss Lik-Sang.

What imiss about liksang is the fact I still had Payback points to redeem! :( I got my DC coder's cable free with those payback points...i don't even know how to use the damn thing...
But I have liksang stickers all over a bunch of my stuff, my arcade DDR pad is from there, and I have a liksang mug. All to carry on the memory.

well they DID have them all over their website.
Any HK stores that deals with chinese version PC games?
There's Yesasia (direct link (http://global.yesasia.com/en/Browse/ListAll.aspx?section=games&version=all&did=686&sortby=5&fil=56&code=c&) to Chinese PC games)
and I bet there are others too. I used to order DVDs and games from Yesasia and did not have any complains about their service.
