B Day Present Woes?

A realllly close friends Bday is coming up...and I'm puzzled as to what to get. Be careful, as my minidisc player's button dial is pure crap (Sony, but I'm not sure of the model number). Other than that, it works great.

Hahah Yeah. Oddly enough, her minidisc broke without any real hardcore use (haha i'm serous...she sticks it in bacpack one day to use and BAM its broken without any reason) but I've seen people treat theirs like crap and they still work~

That is why I wanna get a replacemnt, but I have noticed if I wanna get one for less tha 80ish almost always its really old~

If you're after a Mini Disc player or recorder then buy a Sharp. They are so well built. I'm still using one from 1998 that still works perfectly. It does look massive these days so I just use it at home.

Are Minidisc player sellection is rather limited here in NA and we mostly only get the Sony ones. I was eyeing the new HI-MD players, as they have 1gb worth of storage and can be used to store other things besides music.
