I had seen this game on the "to be released" pages of an old greek Nintendo magazine (Which i own but is in some box). I think the developers were called "Ice" or something along those lines. There were screenshots, too.

There was one screenshot that I clearly remember, which depicted a fat/ghostlike spooky white character resembling a ghost with limbs, walking down a stair at a graveyard. The game's theme was supposed to be on the mature side of things, as the story involved death etc.

I did a google search but came up with nothing at all. Anyone remember the game? Any other sort of material would be appreciated too.

EDIT: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cancelled_video_games , ctrl+f for spooky, listed but no content. I might fill it out by memory , but I trust that we can find some info before I start writing whatever comes to mind

EDiT2: " Metal Gear Solid (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_Gear_Solid) (There were old images of the N64 version, but due to the cartridge limitations, Metal Gear Solid for N64 was scrapped and Hideo Kojima (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hideo_Kojima) continued the Playstation version.)" <- this is new to me. The list does have some innaccuracies, namely Luigi's Mansion (never was an n64 title) and Kameo as well (started off as a GC demo), to name a few. Anyone else know/have proof of n64 MGS while we're on it?

EDIT3: The existence of Super Mario FX , the first 3d mario game to be released , on the SNES/SFC of all things, deserves its own topic, but since there isn't much material about it, i ll stick it here :)

MGS was going to be on the 64 and saturn, but I'll have to find sources to confirm this

I can confirm that the Saturn rumour was true but like all good things Sony had the cash to pay off developers. Just look at how many Dreamcast games were scrapped by big names such as Konami which then ended up as PS2 only releases.

Everytime I think of Dreamcast and Saturn , the name Yakumo comes to mind. It's a shame the DC didn't get a fair chance from companies, and especially EA and their mostly crappy-yet popular titles. Greedy little Sony, look what you did.

Bingo, IGN saves the day:

Wow, the main hero looks like he's in to S&M  Quite an interesting game idea though. Now I wonder who has a leaked version?
