It depends on how old the SNES is - the earlier ones used a two-part connector where the base was soldered to the main board and the actual cart...

AFAIK early PAL revisions with separate sound modules are very rare. Bought my first SNES in 92 and no separate module there.

An unmodded 360 does indeed allow games to be installed on to USB drives :) I have two 32GB USB dries and 120GB HD on my 360 which isn't modded.
